Byes, Bubbles and the AFC South
Jacksonville tops the AFC bracket at 10-7, and Seattle earns the NFC's bye at 11-6, both drawing a week off while everyone else plays. The AFC South sends three clubs to the field, more than any other division, a sign of top-to-bottom strength rather than one dominant club. Green Bay squeaks in as the last seed, while Kansas City sits just outside looking in at the first team left out. Note the seeding runs by conference, not by rating across the whole league, so Jacksonville's spot reflects AFC standing, not a claim on the best club overall.
