About Major League Baseball
Major League Baseball (MLB) is a baseball league of 30 clubs playing the 2026 season. The league is split into the American League and National League, six divisions in all. A full MLB season is 162 games for each club, running from March to October. 12 of the 30 clubs reach the playoffs, so a 2026 season is as much about surviving the schedule as winning any one night of it. The divisions are AL Central, AL East, AL West, NL Central, NL East, and NL West. Every club's schedule, roster and results live on its own page, and the standings on this one link straight to them.
The Brewers hold the best record in the league at 82-51. Leading the other divisions: the White Sox in the AL Central at 70-63, the Rays in the AL East at 79-54, the Astros in the AL West at 66-67, the Braves in the NL East at 78-55, and the Dodgers in the NL West at 80-53. The tightest race is the AL West, where the Astros lead the Rangers by half a game at 66-67 to 66-68. At the other end of the table the Angels sit at 52-82, 30.5 games behind the league's best record.
In the most recent round of games on August 26, the Athletics beat the Twins 7-4, the Orioles beat the Cardinals 8-7, and the White Sox beat the Rangers 10-4. Next up on Thursday, August 27, the Astros visit the Yankees, the Royals visit the Blue Jays, and the Brewers visit the Mets.
