What is the difference between confirmed and expected?
A confirmed starter has been named by his club, usually at the morning skate or in the afternoon. An expected starter is ESPN's projection before that, from the rotation and the schedule; a back-to-back often means the backup.
When are NHL starting goalies announced?
Most clubs name their starter after the morning skate on game day; some wait until warmups, so a few stay expected until close to puck drop.
Starters and their status are ESPN's; season stats from ESPN; the wins rank is ESPN's season projection. See every goalie on the fantasy goalie rankings.
