UNC, NC State add second matchup at neutral site

North Carolina and NC State will play a nonconference men's basketball game in Greensboro on Dec. 15 at the Tobacco Road Classic, a neutral site event announced by the schools on Wednesday. The ACC reduced its conference slate from 20 to 18 games, and ACC expansion added more teams, eliminating the guarantee of a home-and-home series between the rivals.

The Tar Heels and Wolfpack were scheduled to meet only in Chapel Hill this season in ACC play before the neutral site game was added. Last season was the first time since 1919 that the two teams played just once.
