SEC bars NFL, NBA, WNBA players from rosters

The SEC has adopted a rule preventing its member schools from rostering athletes who have played in the NFL, NBA or WNBA. The conference's move came after the Big Ten passed a similar rule specific to players returning from the NFL.

The SEC's version goes further than the Big Ten's by also covering basketball, closing the door on NBA and WNBA players joining SEC rosters.
