On Thursday night in Eugene, Ore., the Hillsboro Hops carried a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the eighth inning against the Emeralds before the game slipped away.
The loss continues a pattern in which Eugene has had the Hops' number regardless of the players cycling through the Diamondbacks' and Giants' systems. Hillsboro now returns home for its final three games.
