Mets Hold Off Hammerheads in Single-A Shootout
The Mets outlasted the Hammerheads 10-6 behind a pair of home runs from Rodriguez, who drove in two. The Hammerheads outhit their opponent but couldn't capitalize. The Mets improved to 57-72 while the Hammerheads fell to 61-66. The teams meet again Saturday.
Rodriguez went 3-for-3 on the day with his two long balls providing the offensive punch the Mets needed to survive the low-minors grind.
