Dodgers needed extra innings to get past Pittsburgh, and Edman delivered, singling home Hernández in the 10th for the winning run. Muncy did the early damage with a homer, driving in two on a 1-for-3 night. Pittsburgh actually outhit Los Angeles 8-6 but couldn't cash in enough. The Dodgers head to Pittsburgh Saturday before the Pirates come back to Los Angeles.
Edman singled to left in the 10th, scoring Hernández and moving Tucker to second, and that was the difference in a 5-4 Dodgers win.
Muncy powered Los Angeles with a home run and two RBI, going 1-for-3 on the night.
Pittsburgh actually held the edge in hits, 8-6, but it wasn't enough as the Dodgers improved to 78-51 and dropped the Pirates to 63-67, taking the season series 3-1.
