ESPN's betting experts Ben Solak, Seth Walder and Matt Bowen released their top plays for Week 2's Sunday afternoon games, covering spreads, totals and player props. Odds are from DraftKings and subject to change.
Bowen's Game of the Week is Cincinnati at Houston, with the Texans favored by 2.5 and the total set at 46.5. Bowen said he is 'all-in' on Houston at -2.5, noting the Texans want the run game to be a foundational element of their offense after David Montgomery had 20 carries (3.0 yards per carry) and Woody Marks added nine in Week 1. Bowen's leans are Texans -2.5 (-118), Texans moneyline (-142) and Over 46.5 (-105).
Bowen also likes three Bengals-Texans props: Ja'Marr Chase receptions over 6.5 (-109) after Chase caught just two of four targets in Week 1, Mike Gesicki anytime touchdown (+280) after Gesicki scored on a schemed throw last week, and Chase Brown receiving yards over 20.5 (-113) after Brown caught five of six targets for 22 yards versus Tampa Bay.
Solak's play is the Packers -3.5 (-112) at the Jets. He noted Green Bay had a better success rate (38.8%) than Minnesota (34.5%) in Week 1 despite the Vikings' 39-22 win, but Green Bay went 3-for-12 on third down and scored only one touchdown and one field goal on four red-zone trips.
