Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Zay Flowers is considered day-to-day after aggravating his left hamstring in Sunday's 41-23 season-opening win at the Colts, while rookie Ja'Kobi Lane could be out longer with a wrist injury.
Flowers grabbed his left hamstring after being tackled with 5½ minutes left in the first half and did not play in the second half, though he remained suited up and paced the sideline with a slight limp. Before leaving, he had totaled 150 yards receiving, the most by a player in the first half in three years. He has missed three games in his four-year career.
"I feel pretty good about where that's at," Minter said. "We'll see how the week goes though there." Flowers first hurt the hamstring during joint practices with the Vikings on Aug. 20 and sat out two weeks before practicing fully last week and playing without an injury designation in the opener. Asked if Flowers will have to manage the injury all season, Minter said, "You want to make sure that it's not something you're dealing with for 17, 18 weeks.
Lane, a third-round pick and the team's No. 3 wide receiver, injured his wrist in the first half and did not play after halftime, finishing with one catch for 11 yards. He also had a 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter negated by a holding penalty. Sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo on Sunday night that the initial diagnosis was a fractured wrist. "We're getting some more things looked at right now and talking to different people," Minter said.
Baltimore's only healthy receivers on the 53-man roster are LaJohntay Wester, who has primarily been a punt returner, and Elijah Sarratt, a rookie fourth-round pick who was a healthy scratch in Week 1. Devontez Walker has been dealing with a groin injury, and Chris Moore was elevated off the practice squad Sunday and caught a 53-yard pass from Lamar Jackson in the fourth quarter.
