Alabama right guard Michael Carroll, a freshman All-America pick last season, is expected to be available for Saturday's game vs. Florida State, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.
Carroll missed last weekend's win at Kentucky with an undisclosed injury but has been back practicing with the team in recent days. He was the former No. 1-ranked guard in the class of 2025 and switched from right tackle to right guard this offseason. Carroll started and played most of the season-opener vs. East Carolina two weeks ago.
With Carroll out, Alabama shifted starting left guard William Sanders to right guard and moved starting backup Mal Waldrep Jr. into left guard in his place. The offensive line settled in during the second half at Kentucky, paving the way for a 104-yard rushing performance by running back Daniel Hill as the Crimson Tide won 45-17.
No. 10 Alabama, now 2-0, is looking to get even with Florida State, 1-1, after last season's loss on the road in Tallahassee.
