Washington starting wide receiver Christian Moss will miss two to three months with a lower body injury, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel. Moss sustained the injury in Washington's season opener against Washington State and did not record any statistics in that game.
Moss had 45 receptions for 689 yards and two touchdowns for Kennesaw State last season. He has 65 career receptions for 963 yards and four touchdowns between Kennesaw State and Virginia Tech.
Washington also might be without starting wide receiver Rashid Williams, who is week-to-week with an undisclosed injury sustained Saturday against Utah State, sources told Thamel. Coach Jedd Fisch said his potential absence would not be substantial.
The wide receiver injuries follow injuries at running back, where Washington is without starter Quaid Carr and backup Jayden Limar, both out for an extended period following injuries against Washington State. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. has been Washington's primary rusher, while Trey Cooley and Brian Bonner Jr. each had 22 yards in the Utah State win.
Starting cornerback Emmanuel Karnley is also week-to-week with an undisclosed injury, per Thamel. Washington hosts Eastern Washington this week before opening Big Ten play at home against Minnesota on Sept. 26.
