The SEC has announced a policy barring its member schools from rostering players who have appeared in the NFL, NBA or WNBA. The decision came after the Big Ten passed a similar rule specifically targeting players returning from the NFL.
The SEC's version goes further than the Big Ten's by also including professional basketball, covering both the NBA and WNBA in addition to the NFL.
