Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 38-year-old was unable to reach an agreement with the Florida Panthers, who have since acquired Jacob Markstrom and Akira Schmid for their goalie tandem.
Bobrovsky, a two-time Vezina Trophy winner, had a challenging season last year with a 27-23-1 record and career-low save percentage of .877. He reunites with former Florida teammate Anthony Stolarz in Toronto, which has been active in the offseason after missing the playoffs.
