Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard is expected to miss the start of the 2026-27 NHL season after undergoing surgery on his left shoulder. The team announced that he is projected to make a full recovery in approximately four months, meaning he will miss at least the first month of the season.
Bedard, who was injured during a training session, is entering his fourth NHL season after winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2023-24. He led the Blackhawks with 75 points last season and has yet to appear in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
