The San Diego Padres promoted left-handed pitcher Luis Gutierrez, the club's No. 12 prospect, and Braedon Karpathios, the No. 19 prospect, to Triple-A as part of a series of roster moves.
Gutierrez, from Cabimas, Venezuela, made 11 starts this season across three Padres affiliates, including the ACL Padres and High-A Fort Wayne TinCaps, before earning the promotion.
