The Chicago Blackhawks have signed winger Patrick Kane to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $8 million, marking his return to the team where he became a superstar. Kane, 37, previously played for the Blackhawks from 2007 to 2023, winning three Stanley Cups and becoming the franchise's second all-time leading scorer with 1,225 points.
Kane was traded to the New York Rangers in 2023 and played last season with the Detroit Red Wings, recording 16 goals and 41 assists in 67 games. After considering a return to Chicago or joining the Buffalo Sabres, Kane opted for a reunion with the Blackhawks, a move supported by young star Connor Bedard.
