Tottenham agree season-long loan for Man City's Marmoush

Tottenham have agreed a season-long loan deal with Manchester City for forward Omar Marmoush with an obligation to buy for £60 million next year. The Egypt international is set to undergo a medical with Tottenham and complete the move.

Marmoush's arrival is Tottenham's second signing from City in days, following the capture of Brazil winger Savio in a deal worth an initial £75m. Tottenham have also signed Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi this summer.

City paid Eintracht Frankfurt £59m for Marmoush in January 2025 and have already fulfilled their payment obligations to the club. No sell-on clause was included in the agreement. Marmoush scored 16 goals in 62 games for City but mainly had to settle for an understudy role to Erling Haaland.

Marmoush was an unused substitute in Sunday's Premier League opener against Bournemouth, with his last outing for City coming in the Community Shield a week earlier. City have also seen Rodri, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Tijjani Reijnders, Nathan Aké and James Trafford depart this summer, with Nico González another who could leave before next week's transfer deadline.
