Chargers center Tyler Biadasz out indefinitely with ACL injury

Chargers center Tyler Biadasz is out indefinitely after suffering damage to his ACL and additional injuries to his left knee during Tuesday's joint practice with the 49ers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Wednesday.

Biadasz underwent an MRI after the injury and will meet with more doctors to try to get more clarity, sources said. He went down after 49ers defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez fell into his leg during an 11-on-11 drill, and he remained on the ground for nearly five minutes before being helped onto a medical cart.

Biadasz, 28, signed with the Chargers in March after playing for the Commanders last season. He was the biggest piece of an interior offensive line overhaul by general manager Joe Hortiz. He started 31 games over the past two seasons for Washington before he was released in February in a cost-cutting move.

The Cowboys selected Biadasz in the fourth round of the 2020 draft, and he started all 49 games he played for Dallas. He made his lone Pro Bowl following the 2022 season.

The Chargers host the 49ers on Thursday in the teams' second preseason game.
