Blazers' Sharpe out about six months with torn meniscus

Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee and is expected to miss six months, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Monday.

The injury occurred during an offseason workout recently and will sideline Sharpe for a significant period of the 2026-27 season, sources said.

Sharpe, 23, averaged 20.8 points for the Blazers last season but missed a large chunk of the campaign due to a stress fracture of his left fibula.

The Blazers are set to head into next season with three veteran guards on the roster in Ja Morant, Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday, and the trio should help ease any depth issues that arise in Sharpe's absence.

Sharpe signed a four-year, $90 million extension with Portland last year that officially kicks in this season. He is set to make around $20 million in 2026-27.
