Carlos Baleba is nearing his Manchester United debut after returning to training on the grass at Carrington. The midfielder was a £70 million summer signing from Brighton and has been sidelined since picking up an injury during preseason.
Interim manager Michael Carrick said Baleba will be available after the international break. 'He'll be back in and around the group at some point over the next week or so, so that means after internationals, he should be in good shape,' Carrick said.
Brighton visit Old Trafford on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup third round, but Carrick said the game will come too soon for Baleba. Carrick praised the 22-year-old as a quality player who 'balances off the dynamics of the midfield particularly well.'
