The Oakland Athletics and general manager David Forst have mutually agreed to part ways, ending his nearly three-decade tenure with the franchise. This decision comes as the A's prepare for their anticipated move to Las Vegas, less than two years away, and follows a disappointing season with a record of 45-70.
Assistant GM Dan Feinstein will serve as interim GM while the A's search for Forst's replacement. Forst, who joined the A's in 2000 and became GM in 2015, was expected to guide the team through its transition to Las Vegas but was not planning to relocate with the club.
