Arizona State has named Cutter Boley as the team's starting quarterback, coach Kenny Dillingham announced Saturday. Boley, a Kentucky transfer, will make his debut for the Sun Devils against Morgan State on Sept. 5.
Boley won the starting job over transfer Mikey Keene, who joined Arizona State as his fourth team, and freshman Jake Fette. Dillingham said Boley "had a great camp, did a good job taking care of the football," and called him "the best opportunity for us to go win football games."
Boley started 11 games over two years at Kentucky, throwing for 2,489 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushing for two touchdowns. He completed 65.8% of his passes in 2025, a mark that set a record for a Wildcats freshman.
After the Morgan State game, Arizona State travels to No. 8 Texas A&M on Sept. 12.
